tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) + lamivudine (3TC ) or emtricitabine (FTC) is recommended as the preferred backbone regimen for HIV post-exposure prophylaxis

Notes and Remarks

a Indeterminate range: a range of viral copy equivalents that would be too low to be accurately diagnosed as positive. The indeterminate range suggested is currently estimated to be approximately equivalent to a cycle threshold of 33 on the Roche COBAS® Ampliprep/COBAS® TaqMan® HIV-1 Qualitative Test v2.0 assay.
