In settings where oxytocin is unavailable (or its quality cannot be guaranteed), the use of other injectable uterotonics (carbetocin, or if appropriate ergometrine/ methylergometrine, or oxytocin and ergometrine fixed-dose combination) or oral misoprostol is recommended for the prevention of postpartum haemorrhage
