- 1.We recommend this option only in contexts with established health system mechanisms for the participation of doctors of complementary systems of medicine in other tasks related to maternal and reproductive health.
- 2.More specific recommendations relating to the comprehensive management of post-abortion infection were not made due to lack of clinical guidelines on the management of complications from unsafe abortion.
- 3.Restrictions on prescribing authority for some categories of providers may need to be modified or other mechanisms put in place for allowing such providers to administer the antibiotic medications within the regulatory framework of the health system
