WHO suggests that sexually active adolescents and young people (10–24 years old) who have no symptoms of a sexually transmitted infection and are accessing health-care services be screened for N. gonorrhoeae and/or C. trachomatis in settings where prevalence is high and resources and capacity are available. Recommendations for the management of symptomatic sexually transmitted infections should continue to be followed
